Lynn Fleischman  B.F.A., M.F.A.

Lynn Fleischman is the Executive Director of The Drawing Studio. She is also a founding member of TDS and serves as an ex officio Board member.

Lynn received her BFA from Bowling Green State University and MFA from The University of Arizona, both in creative writing. Although she began her art career as a child—attending classes on scholarship at the Toledo Museum of Art every Saturday for five years—and took a few studio art classes in graduate school, she really began her studio art studies as a student at TDS. She now teaches monoprinting and drawing fundamentals at TDS, and continues to study relief and intaglio printmaking. She has exhibited with TDS and other galleries in Tucson and Phoenix; her work is in several private collections.

In her other professional life, Lynn has 20+ years' experience as a grantwriter and financial/organizational development consultant, most recently to nonprofits in New York, California, and Arizona. She has extensive experience teaching a variety of subjects (creative writing, grant writing, women's studies, art and art history, humanities) to a wide range of people (pre-schoolers through seniors, in traditional institutions and through nontraditional venues).
