Registration at The Drawing Studio is on a first-come, first served basis. If a class is full, we will maintain a waiting list, and if space opens up, notify people in the order they are listed. We do not take reservations for classes to be offered in the following session. A registration is not complete until a financial transaction has taken place.
Waiting until the last minute to register is not advisable. If a class does not have at least 5 people registered in the 3 or 4 days preceding the first session, we usually cancel the class.
Note: The following schedule includes all courses and workshops scheduled for January through March, and a preliminary schedule for April and May. Additions and changes to the spring schedule will appear in the Spring Newsletter, available in early March 2009. Please check our website for the beginning of on-line registration—Coming Soon!

Slip Drawing on Clay
Taught by Gerrie Young
Six Thursdays, 6 – 9 PM
April 16 – May 21
A slurry of line invents a design. Slips are mixtures (slurries) of clay, minerals and water which dry as raised lines when fired. Drawing on clay allows you to further develop skill with line learned in fundamental and intermediate drawing sequences. Instructor will demonstrate a variety of ways to draw using slip. Students will learn how to create fluid lines on 2D and 3D clay surfaces. Slip lines can be further enhanced with transparent glaze color. A wide range of other clay drawing techniques will be included for your exploration.
