Drawing What You See
(for youth, ages 9 -12)

Four Sunday afternoons, 1-4pm

Explore drawing, collage, painting, and mixed media techniques inspired by looking at the world around us. Returning and new students will practice skills important for developing the young visual learner: drawing and painting to scale; looking at light, understanding color, creating form in space—all while having fun with friends in the studio.

Fee: $80

 

Comic Illustration
(for youth and teens, ages 9-18)
Taught by Joe Marshall
Four Sundays, 1-4 pm
March 7 - 28

A popular class where students take their love of comic illustration and create their own characters and stories. Inking is practiced in the Ink-a-rama class. Students may collaborate on publishing their own illustrations in book format.

Fee: $80, includes most materials

Portfolio Preparation and Review
for High School Students Applying to Art School

For students preparing admission to college art schools, a private consultation with Youth/Teen Program Director, Betina Fink. Review of student’s portfolio, information on art school admission requirements, and advice and recommendations about what to include and strategies to improve the quality of the portfolio and fill in gaps.

Fee: $50 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours
